People love coffee. Some people can’t live without it. I was one of them.
I used to be a coffee lover. I was insanely busy at work and school so forced myself to be productive every day. Not to mention it’s delicious. My favorite was Vanilla Latte from Starbucks or London Smog from Tim Hortons. Everything was great until I realized that I couldn’t start a day without coffee.
As time went by, I needed more coffee to reach the same impact. I felt drained in the end of the day. I could only work while I was caffeinated. Otherwise, I was easily zoned out and having hard time to focus on something complicated. I also noticed that I wasn’t getting good sleep with coffee which makes sense with all the caffeine I consumed every day. Although I sometimes slept more than 10 hours, I was still exhausted. Yes, I was addicted to caffeine.
So I decided to quit.
Now I start my day with opening the windows to get some fresh air and walking outside — many people underestimate the benefits of a walk. It is the natural and the best way to wake your brain up.
What do I drink now? Herbal tea 🍵
Herbal tea has no caffeine and hydrating is important every morning. Water is the best but I sometimes want some flavor like peppermint, peach, or honey…
