Trip to Toronto from Ottawa with VIA Rail

Although people call that everywhere is like paradise during summer in Canada, I try to avoid traveling due to the COVID like last year. But, I couldn’t stand just working from home and staying in Ottawa this year. I should do something at least. So I decided to visit Toronto shortly.

Renting a car is safer but I find that Toronto is the hardest city to drive in Canada and most of my friends are living in downtown so I gave it a shot with the train this time — my first travel with VIA Rail.

It takes about four and half hours from Ottawa to Toronto. The Fallowfield station in Ottawa was quite and I enjoyed waiting for the train. The inside of the train was pretty neat and clean. They provide WiFi service which you can do casual stuff like a internet surfing. And you probably don’t need to worry about your batter of a smartphone or a laptop as there are power plugs.
